🇺🇸 Remembering 9/11 at Allegacy Stadium
🇺🇸 Honor the Fallen
On September 11, Wake Forest University’s No Fear Army ROTC Battalion will host 'Climb to Remember,' an event honoring those who lost their lives in the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

What: Participants climb 2,977 steps at Allegacy Stadium, one for each life lost in the terrorist attacks. The climb is equivalent to ascending 200+ flights of stairs.
Who: First responders and students from Wake Forest University, Winston-Salem State University, and Salem College will participate in Climb to Remember. Members from the community are also welcome to join—click here to register.
When: The gates will open at 6 AM for opening remarks and a cadet swearing-in ceremony. The climb begins at 6:30 AM and ends at 8 AM.

💵 Funding: Last Tuesday, the Winston-Salem City Council voted to contribute $4 million to The Grounds for infrastructure upgrades. The upcoming mixed-use development on Deacon Boulevard previously received $35 million in state funding for infrastructure upgrades. Phase 1 of The Grounds is projected to open in Summer 2027. (WFDD)
