  • Symphony - Listen to the Piedmont Wind Symphony perform at Centenary United Methodist Church. 7:30 PM

  • Family Art Day - Create art as a family at NCMA Winston-Salem (formerly SECCA)! 11 AM - 2 PM

  • Oyster Roast - Enjoy oysters or Brunswick Stew at Fiddlin’ Fish! All proceeds help The Parenting PATH support local children and families. 2-5 PM

  • Ciderfest - Celebrate fall at Wise Man Brewing’s first annual Ciderfest and Beyond, featuring cider releases, vendors, live music, and more. 12 PM - 12 AM

  • Medieval Musical - Watch the Theater Alliance’s performance of The Canterbury Tales. Rated R. Runs through Sunday.

  • Miles for Meals 5K - Run or walk through the Tanglewood Festival of Lights! Proceeds benefit the Hillsdale Church Food Ministry. 5:30 PM

  • Dinner & Show - Dine on a 3-course meal at Childress Vineyards, accompanied by a performance from Blazin' Keys Dueling Pianos. 5:30 PM

  • Ardmore Art Walk - Find handmade pottery, jewelry, art prints, and more displayed on front lawns in Ardmore. 11 AM - 4:30 PM

  • Homecoming Concert - Anthony Hamilton and Monica and the Ton3s perform at LJVM Coliseum! 7:30 PM

  • Anniversary Party - Brouwerij DuBois, a farmhouse-inspired brewery, turns one year old! Celebrate with live music, food trucks, games, and more. 12-10 PM

  • Heritage Celebration - Celebrate National Native American Heritage Month at NCMA Winston-Salem with dancers, drumming, and other family-friendly activities. 12-3 PM

Sunday, November 10

  • Calligraphy Class - Join Sip & Script at Joymongers Barrel Hall to learn the basics of calligraphy. Supplies are included. 4:30 PM

  • Cocktail Class - Learn about (and taste) Tequilas and Mezcals at Easytalk. 4 PM

  • Brunch at JOLO - Enjoy delicious food and wine pairings at JOLO Winery’s inaugural brunch event. 10 AM

  • Seafood Feast - Head to Foothills Tasting Room for oysters and a traditional seafood boil. 2-5 PM

Monday, November 11 (Veterans Day)

  • Veterans Day Ceremony - Honor our veterans at The Carolina Field of Honor with a special ceremony. Due to limited seating, attendees are encouraged to bring their own chairs. 11 AM

  • 🌯 Opening Soon: Barberitos is coming to town! The franchise restaurant serves Southwestern foods like burritos, tacos, and quesadillas. The new location opens at 2251 Cloverdale Avenue on Thursday, November 14.

  • 🧥 Donate: Mast General Store is collecting gently used coats, jackets, sweaters, or blankets for its annual Share the Warmth campaign. Mast General works with local organizations to distribute donated items to those who need them most.

  • 💙 Save the Date: On Thursday, December 5, the Arts Council will host Hope for the Hills: A Showcase Benefitting Western NC. The event will feature local performers and an art auction, with all proceeds and donations going to NC Arts Disaster Relief Fund. P.S. Are you an artist interested in participating? It’s not too late to apply!

  • ☃️ Contest: The Downtown Winston-Salem Partnership brings back its Window Wonderland Contest! All downtown property owners with windows facing the street are invited to decorate their windows with holiday themes for the chance to win up to $1,000.

  • 🚗 Parking: The City Council of Winston-Salem approved changes to downtown parking on Monday night. Changes include some parking rates increasing from 25 cents to $1.50, parking fines increasing from $15 to $30, and payment options adjusting from meters to a pay-by-phone app in spring 2025. (WXII)

  • 🤝 Event: United Way of Forsyth County hosts “Bridging 52: Continuing the Conversation” on Thursday, November 21, at Forsyth County Central Library. The event will explore the inequalities in our region, how Highway 52 has played a role in dividing our community, and how we can work together to bridge the divides.

  • The Carolina Field of Honor at Triad Park was built to honor all armed forces members. The Memorial includes a tribute to each branch of the military.

  • According to Veterans Bridge Home, over 92,000 veterans live in the Triad!

  • Lawrence Joel Veterans Memorial Coliseum pays tribute to Lawrence Joel, a native of Winston-Salem who was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor.

  • As part of Operation Green Light, several public buildings in Winston-Salem are lit with green lights now through November 11 to honor our veterans. Local businesses are encouraged to participate!
