  • Winston-Salem

    • Holiday Parade in downtown Winston-Salem (parade starts at the corner of Fourth Street and Poplar Street and will be followed by the annual tree lighting at Corpening Plaza) | Saturday, December 2 at 5 PM

  • Lewisville

    • Tree Lighting at Shallowford Square with Santa, caroling, and special treats | Friday, December 1 at 7 PM

  • Kernersville

    • Tree Lighting at Town Hall Courtyard with hot chocolate, a kids craft area, and performances | Saturday, December 2 at 6 PM

    • Holiday Parade in downtown Kernersville (parade route starts at the corner of Pineview Drive and Highway 66, and continues on East Mountain Street to Kernersville Elementary School) | Sunday, December 3 at 2:30 PM

  • Yadkinville

    • Tree Lighting at the Yadkinville Community Park with musical performances and refreshments | Friday, December 1 at 6 PM

    • Holiday Parade in downtown Yadkinville (along Main Street) | Saturday, December 2 at 10 AM

  • Bermuda Run

    • Christmas Tree Lighting at the Gazebo Town Square with carriage rides, Santa, and music | Sunday, December 3 at 2 PM

Friday, December 1

  • Christmas Wrapped in Brass - The North Carolina Brass Band performs holiday favorites at Hanes Auditorium (Salem College). 7:30 PM*

  • HanesBrands Community Product Sale - Shop your favorite brands at great prices at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Education Building. Available through Sunday.*

  • Concert - Enjoy a night of music and food as music artist Anjimile headlines Crossroads @ SECCA #027. 6-9:30 PM*

  • Caroling Fridays - Gather at the Reynolda House to share Christmas cheer through song and community at this free event. 3:30 PM

  • Lights of Hope - Celebrate the special pets in your life and support Forsyth Humane Society at a lighting ceremony. 5-7 PM

  • Nativity Performance - Experience Nativity According to the Gospels at HanesBrand Theatre, a rendition of the Christmas story told with an infusion of gospel music, dance, and spoken word. Available through December 17.

  • Twin City Santa - In a little less than two decades, Twin City Santa has provided more than 45,000 toys to children here in Forsyth County. Join the cause at this year’s toy drive and semi-formal event at the Millennium Center. 8 PM - 12 AM

  • Tuba Christmas - Hear your favorite Christmas carols performed by dozens of tuba players at First Presbyterian Church. 6:30 PM

  • Old Salem Christmas Tour - Step back in time to uncover the rich history of Old Salem. Available through December 16.

  • Letters from Santa - Santa and his elves make an appearance at Buie’s Market! Take a photo with Santa, send him a letter, and receive one back. 4-6 PM

  • Heritage Hop - DADA 1st Friday Gallery Hop returns with a round-trip trolley ride from the arts district to historic Bethabara. 6 PM, 7:15 PM, and 8 PM

Saturday, December 2

  • Mistletoe Run - Participate in the 40th annual half marathon, 5K, and 1-mile Fun Run at the William G. White, Jr. Family YMCA. There will also be bounce houses, cheerleaders, community mascots, and more! 7:30 AM*

  • Childress Vineyards Christmas - Bring your kids to Childress Vineyards for carriage rides, pictures with Santa, and live music. Also available Sunday.

  • Home for the Holidays - Embark on a guided tour through the UNCSA campus while enjoying music and dance performances from diverse cultures. Also available Sunday.

  • Holiday Pet Photo - Bring your furry friend to The Snob Shop for a picture with Santa. 10 AM - 2 PM

  • FemFest X! - The Ramkat brings back the annual festival with women-centric musical performances. All proceeds are donated to the Emergency Shelter of Winston-Salem and Forsyth County. 4 PM

  • Christmas by Candlelight - Take a tour of Körner’s Folly - which has been transformed into a Victorian Christmas wonderland - and encounter costumed guides singing carols. 5-9 PM

  • Bethbara Christmas - Immerse yourself in historic Bethabara’s past. Learn how the Moravians celebrated their first Christmas, discover the Christmas treats they made, and tour the 1788 Gemeinhaus. 1:30-4:30 PM

  • Winter Book Sale - Shop for books, DVDs, CDs, and more at Walkertown Public Library. 11 AM - 3 PM

  • Charcuterie Workshop - Prepare for your upcoming holiday parties with this themed workshop at The Board Babe. 11:30 AM

  • Smith Hollow Farm Christmas - Take a photo with Santa, make Christmas crafts, and ride a tractor at Smith Hollow Farm. Available weekends through December 17.

Sunday, December 3

  • Cocktail Class - Join Easytalk at the bar to learn how to make a hot toddy. 4 PM

  • Holiday Workshop - Families are invited to the Reynolda House for a holiday card and gift tag workshop. 2 PM

  • Christmas Concert - Celebrate the season with Christmas carols performed by local musicians at Historic Broyhill. 3 PM

  • Howliday Party - Bring your dogs to Tucker’s Tap Yard for pictures with Santa. 4-6:30 PM

  • Holiday Blooms Workshop - Ciener Botanical Gardens’ staff and volunteers teach you how to create the Garden’s famous holiday blooms. 3:30 PM

Monday, December 4

  • Calligraphy Class - Sip & Script offers a beginner calligraphy workshop and ornament lettering at Joymongers Barrel Hall. 6:30 PM

  • Christmas with The Dryes - The country duo that appeared on NBC’s “The Voice” performs at Old Homeplace Vineyards. Also available Tuesday. 7:30 PM

  • Non-Profit: You can support Crisis Control Ministry by purchasing Holiday Honor Cards this season. All proceeds from the sales of holiday cards are used locally to support our neighbors in crisis in Forsyth and Stokes Counties.

  • Correction: We were made aware of an error in our Monday night newsletter. Please note Christmas Candlelight at Salem Academy and College is this Thursday at 4:15 PM. We apologize for any confusion.

  • Holiday Tradition: Wake Forest University hosts its annual Lovefeast this Sunday at 7 PM. This event is first come, first seated. Viewers may also watch a livestream of the service. The first Lovefeast was served in Germany on August 13, 1727. Moravian student Jane Sherrill Stroupe (’67) organized the first Wake Forest Lovefeast in December 1965.

  • Grand Opening: Wilkerson Bakery is celebrating its grand opening on December 2 with free samples and a visit from Santa. The new store is located at 593 S. Stratford Road.

  • Athletics: Forsyth Technical Community College has officially announced the launch of its athletics program and is now actively searching for an Athletics Director to lead and develop the new program. The college's objective is to join the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) in either the fall or winter season of 2025.
