Family First Workshop | Reynolda House Museum | Next date is Sunday, June 2
Kids spend time in the museum looking at artwork and then go to Reynoldaâs studio classroom to create their own! Appropriate for grades 1-6.
Kidsâ Night Out | Kaleideum | Next date is Friday, June 7
Drop off the kids at Kaleideum for a night of museum exploration, crafts, activities, and pizza + snacks. Appropriate for grades K-6.
2nd Saturdays | SECCA | Next date is Saturday, June 8
Let the kids unleash their creativity at this free, family-oriented art event. This event takes place every 2nd Saturday of the month, and all ages are welcome.

Other News
Government: A $658.9 million budget for 2024-25 was proposed to Mayor Joines and the City Council on May 28. You can read the proposal online and attend a public hearing on May 30 or June 17. The City Council will vote on the budget at the June 17 meeting.
Art: Artfolios will host its first annual Art Extravaganza on June 9 at The Millenium Center. The free event will feature the artwork of over 20 artists, a boutique market, and live musical performances.
Academics: Winston-Salem State University named its 14th chancellor today! Bonita J. Brown will take up her position on July 1, 2024. She is WSSU's first permanent female chancellor.
Opening: Jade Express, a new restaurant featuring Chinese and hibachi food, celebrates its grand opening on June 1 at 1103 Salis Creek Pkwy! If you need a recommendation of what to try, Jade Express is known for its bourbon chicken, a perfect blend of Chinese and Southern flavors.
