• Opening: Winston-Salem has two major openings this week! La Baberia Barbershop opens on Thursday, May 23, and features a social space with video games, a pool table, and more. Elderflour Baking Company, a small batch bakery, celebrates its grand opening on Saturday, May 25.
  
  

• Volunteer: The Winston-Salem Juneteenth Festival is on Saturday, June 15. Volunteers are needed for two-hour shifts - you must be 18+ to sign up or 13 years old with a guardian. An orientation session will be held on Wednesday, June 5.
  
  

• Picklepaw Tournament: Forsyth Humane Society is hosting a pickleball tournament fundraiser June 21-23. Proceeds will support the care of shelter dogs and cats finding themselves ‘in a pickle’ as they search for their forever homes.
