Meet Jefferson Nicholson, the Winston-Salem entrepreneur behind Dash City Gaming (DCG)!
What: DCG is a gaming, esports, and multimedia organization bringing the action to clients with its mobile arcades!
DCG’s two mobile arcades, the Gaming Trailer and Battle Bus, are equipped with multiple TVs, gaming systems, and thousands of games—everything from Marvel Rivals and Mario Kart to Fortnite and Call of Duty.
Backstory: When Jefferson Nicholson founded DCG in 2020, he initially focused on hosting tournaments and live streaming on Twitch. In 2021, he expanded his vision by building the Gaming Trailer, taking another step toward bringing local gamers together.
Check It Out: Jefferson and his team park the Battle Bus at Foothills Tasting Room every Monday from 6:30-9 PM for open play. You can also find one-off events like tournaments on their calendar!
Booking: DCG has been a hit at birthday parties, end-of-school celebrations, and even wedding receptions. Level up your event and reserve a mobile arcade!

A Night in the Quarter - Enjoy live music, a silent auction, and delicious food at WFU School of Medicine! Proceeds benefit DEAC Clinic, which provides free care to those who need it most. 6-8 PM

🥣 Save the Date: Second Harvest Food Bank’s Empty Bowls drive-thru event takes place on Wednesday, April 23. Each ticket purchase includes a selection of delicious soups prepared by Second Harvest’s chefs, along with two handcrafted pottery bowls made by local artists. Last year’s event raised nearly $200,000!
🎵 Music: Register your student for the A Capella Spring Sing on Saturday, March 29! Students grades 8–12 will learn and perform two contemporary songs in this one-day singing workshop at Salem Academy Elberson Fine Arts Center.
🌙 Opening: Palmetto Moon celebrates its grand opening at Hanes Mall on Saturday, March 8! Stop by for door prizes, giveaways, and more. This will be the South Carolina-based franchise’s fifth location in our state.
🪙 Charity: The 2024 Samaritan Ministries’ Penny Campaign raised $106,700—that’s the equivalent of over 29,000 meals! Samaritan Ministries is the longest-running soup kitchen in Winston-Salem, serving meals to the community since March 2, 1981.
🏊 Outdoors: Tanglewood Park Aquatic Center Season passes are now available for purchase! Passes purchased by March 31 will receive a 10% early bird discount. The Aquatic Center will open on Monday, May 26.
