Thursday, March 7

  • Open House - Piedmont Federal Bank hosts an open house at its Peace Haven branch. Refreshments are provided, and you can earn $250 when opening a qualifying account! 3-7 PM*

  • Supper Club - Elevated Catering presents a five-course menu at STEM Beverage and Supply. 5 PM

  • Author Event - Head to Bookmarks for an evening with the editor and contributors of How to Win Friends and Influence Fungi. 6:30 PM

  • Open Mic Night - Ready to rock the stage? Head to The Playground to showcase your talent! 6:30-9:30 PM

  • Sushi Rolling - Learn how to make sushi at The Playground with GringoNinja and enjoy all-you-can-eat sushi! 6:30 PM

  • Artist Talk - Join SECCA for its Fireside series! This month features a discussion with a fiber artist and photographer. 6 PM

  • Sports: Only 36 days until the home opener baseball game! The Winston-Salem Dash also announced that it will rebrand itself as the Winston-Salem Tobacco Beetles for its Theme Night Rebrand on August 9.

  • Local Legends: Season 10 of Food Network’s “Spring Baking Championship” aired tonight, March 4. Two Winston-Salem locals, Anna Simeonides and Michael Bass, are competing for the $25,000 grand prize!

  • Tournament: Kernersville Parks & Recreation hosts a pickleball tournament on April 6 at Fourth of July Park. Registration closes on March 28.

  • Business: Chippekiyay Cookies now offers local delivery and nationwide shipping. The cookie company started in 2021 and features 20 permanent flavors and a rotating selection of seasonal specials.

  • Save the Date: Cancer Services’ annual “Wrapped Up In Ribbons” event takes place April 27 at The Intergenerational Center for Arts & Wellness. The event will feature a dinner, live auction, and games.

  • Opening: Fancy Groceries, a fine clothing and goods store, is reopening in its new location on March 15 at 562 N Trade Street.

  • Parade: The International Women’s Legacy Parade marches through downtown Winston-Salem on March 9, celebrating women-owned businesses and organizations. The registration deadline to participate in the parade is March 6.

  • City: Winston-Salem sanitation crews will begin picking up bulky items left on homeowner’s curbs beginning March 4. You can find more details on acceptable items and when crews will be in your neighborhood on the city’s website.
