🍷 Boutique Wines
This Friday, March 22, you can enjoy European wines at the grand opening of Boutique Wines!
What: A wine bar in the historic Rosenbacher House. Boutique Wines shares the space with Pink Moon Cafe and features a warm interior, front porch seating, and a spacious courtyard.
Menu: A carefully curated menu of wines from across the world that rotate monthly. Guests can enjoy sweet bites from Pink Moon Cafe or appetizers from local chefs and caterers like Elevated.
Features: Live music from local artists every Friday and Saturday, a parking lot with almost 40 spaces, and wine tastings on Sundays.
Hours: Wed-Sat, 5-9 PM; Sun, 3-5 PM
Location: 848 W 5th Street

Legacy: Ed Wilson (‘43), the retired professor of English and Provost Emeritus at Wake Forest University, passed away on March 13 at the age of 101. Wilson served at the University for more than 50 years.
Social: North Carolina Museum of Art (formerly SECCA) brings back House Hangs! The social event takes place on the last Friday of the month and features dinner made by local chefs, music by local DJs, and seasonal cocktails. The first event takes place next Friday, March 29.
Remodel: The Thruway Center Chick-fil-A closed earlier this month to undergo a remodel. The restaurant will reopen in approximately six months. Missing your favorite chicken? Check out the newly renovated Chick-fil-A at Peace Haven.
Art Residency: Mixxer is inviting women to apply for its woodshop residency or metalshop residency. The two programs are intended for women with limited to no craft experience and will involve instructor training, leading workshops, and more.
Concert Series: The Winston-Salem Fairgrounds announced its Indoor Concert Series lineup! The first performance features Jeffrey Osborne with Keith Washington on May 24. Tickets for all concert series performances go on sale March 22.
Funding: Winston-Salem will receive $700,000 to expand its Behavioral Evaluation and Response Team (BEAR) by adding four more crisis counselors. The BEAR Team offers an alternative response to non-violent mental health, domestic disputes, and substance abuse calls.
