š„ Embracing Her Roots
Meet Jordan Rainbolt, the chef behind Native Rootāthe pop-up everyoneās raving about!
What: Native Root is a pop-up food business that incorporates Jordanās Indigenous roots into dishes from various cultures. Past menu items have included duck fat cannolis, Carolina kati rolls, and sweet tea tonkotsu.
Backstory: Originally from Kansas City, Missouri, Jordanās culinary journey has taken her as far as South Korea. She moved to Winston-Salem in 2021, when she started Native Root. Fun Fact: Her first-ever pop-up was at Fair Witness!
Impact: Native Root allows Jordan to share her Indigenous heritage through her passion for cooking.
