  • Fourth of July 5K | July 4 at 8 AM | 211 Broad St, Kernersville | Race by the competition in your patriotic colors; supports the Rotary Club of Kernersville

  • Bolt, White, and Blue Stadium Party | July 4 from 6-10 PM | Truist Stadium | Live music, inflatable games, face-painting, and Winston-Salem’s largest fireworks show

  • Salem Band Concert | July 4 at 7:30 PM | Salem Square | Listen to patriotic music, including the ā€œ1812 Overtureā€ and ā€œStars & Stripes Foreverā€

  • Movie Night - Watch the beloved French film ā€œAmĆ©lieā€ at the Vecino Center! Bring blankets or lawn chairs. Movie starts at sunset.

  • Used Book Sale - Bookmarks’ annual book sale takes place at East of Texas! Proceeds support Bookmarks’ outreach work. Runs through Sunday.

  • Beach Blast - Incendiary Brewing Lewisville turns into your beachside vacation this weekend! Listen to Carpool, a Cars tribute band, while enjoying a bite from local food trucks. 12-9 PM

  • Independence Day Concert – Celebrate Independence Day early at Shallowford Square with a presentation of colors by the American Legion Post 522 and live music by On the Border. 7 PM

  • Vintage Market - Shop for vintage clothing from 20+ vendors at Foothills Tasting Room. 12-5 PM

  • Kaleidocon - It’s superhero day at Kaleideum! Kids can create heroic crafts, take on STEM challenges, and meet a surprise superhero guest! Costumes encouraged. 10 AM - 2 PM

  • ā€˜80s Bar Crawl - Break out the leg warmers, parachute pants, and acid-wash jeans—it’s time to bar hop through six downtown Kernersville spots! 5-9 PM

  • šŸ‘ Seasonal: Nothing beats a juicy Georgia peach, and now you don’t have to leave town to get one. Popup Peach brings fresh peaches from Pearson Farms straight to Winston-Salem every week—check out this week’s locations!

  • šŸ’§ Utilities: Water, sewer, and landfill rates will increase starting July 1. According to the city, the increases will help cover the costs of property upgrades, operational contracts, and other expenses. The average customer can expect their monthly bill to increase by about $2.81.

  • šŸØ Save the Date: Beat the heat at The Big Chill in Bailey Park on Saturday, July 19! This fundraiser for The Shalom Project features homemade ice cream from over 10 local nonprofits and faith groups, along with face painting, live music, and food trucks.

  • šŸ¤ Donate: Speaking of beating the heat… City With Dwellings needs paper or plastic cups and 8 oz. water bottles to help our unhoused neighbors! You can ship donations to 502 N Broad Street or drop them off in person, Mon-Wed from 9 AM to 5 PM.
