Other News
Reopening: The Reynolda House Museum of American Art will reopen to the public on February 1. The museum was closed in January to allow staff to make improvements to the historic house.
New Location: Camās Coffee Co. announced its new location will be inside Kaleideum in downtown Winston-Salem. The coffee shop creates employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities.
Exhibit: The Forsyth County Historic Resources Commission presents āWe Built This: Profiles of Black Architects and Buildersā from February through March. The exhibitās grand opening will be held on February 2 at Union Station.
Elections: Voting in the primary elections begins soon. The registration deadline is February 9 - all forms must be postmarked or delivered by this date. Early voting begins February 15 and the primary election is March 15. Find your sample ballot and list of candidates online.
Sports: Winston-Salem has a new soccer team, Salem City FC. The team is part of the USL League Two and will begin playing in May as part of the fourth tier of professional soccer in the US.
Funding: Did you know Forsyth County provides funding for non-profit agencies so that they can provide community services? Applications are due February 26 - check out their website for more details.
Program: The Positive Path Program offers GED assistance, STEAM exposure, personal and professional development training, career shadowing, and more to at-risk youth and young adults 16-24. Applications are due February 2.
