  • What: Now in its fourth year, Miles of HOPE is an annual running event that raises money for HOPE of Winston-Salem, a local non-profit that addresses children’s health and food insecurity issues in Forsyth County. Participants have the option to run in a 1 Mile Fun Run, 5K, 10K, or join Justin in running 46 miles.

  • Why: In 2019, Justin ran 300 miles in a relay event from Bitty & Beau's in Wilmington, NC, to Moji Coffee’s grand opening event in Winston-Salem. The run resulted in $30,000 being raised for Moji Coffee, which helps employ individuals with differing abilities. The experience motivated Justin to use his passion for running to start Miles of HOPE starting in 2021.

  • Impact: In 2021 and 2022, Miles of HOPE raised $6,000 each year for HOPE of Winston-Salem. Last year, Miles of HOPE doubled its impact and raised $12,000. This year, the event is already on its way to surpassing last year’s donations!

  • Details: The event takes place at Kimberly Park on Saturday, January 20. Online registration closes on Friday, January 19.
