  • Light Shows: Team member Christy recently found a Facebook group dedicated to sharing 2023 Forsyth County Christmas Light Displays. Popular mentions include 7606 Glenn Ferry Road in Pfafftown, 1776 Bradley Road in Pinnacle, Harpers Grove Lane in Clemmons, and 2432 Maplewood Avenue in Winston-Salem.

  • Dodgeball: Greater Stonewall Sports League is bringing an adult dodgeball league to the Hanes Hosiery Community Center. Registration closes after January 14, and the first game is on January 21.

  • Save the Date: The 46 Miles of HOPE Run takes place on January 20. Participants can run a 1-mile, 5K, 10K, or the full 46 miles. All proceeds benefit HOPE of Winston Salem.

  • Reopening: Fulton Family YMCA reopens on January 1. The space features a pool with lap lanes, areas for racquetball and basketball, a gym, and an indoor track.

  • Looking Back: There have been several key developments in Innovation Quarter in 2023. These developments include a new head of life sciences and ecosystem development, Phase 2 infrastructure work kicking off, and Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist announcing Innovation Quarter as the location of its upcoming Eye Institute.
