Tuesday, December 23

  • Vienna Light Orchestra - Listen to world-class musicians and vocalists perform holiday music under the glow of candlelight at Reynolds Auditorium. Performances at 3 and 7 PM.*

  • Ice Skating - Take the family ice skating at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Arena. Available all week, including Christmas Day!

  • Holiday Jazz - Martha Bassett and the Matt Kendrick Quartet perform jazzy renditions of holiday classics at the Generations Center! 7:30 PM

  • Dirty Santa Bingo - Join Bar Nola for a festive twist on bingo — each round’s winner will either select a new gift or “steal” a previous winner’s gift! 7 PM

  • Grinch Day - Take your kids to the Clemmons Library for a “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” storytime and themed games & crafts! 10:30 AM

  • Elf Trivia Night - Dress as your favorite character from “Elf” and prove that you’re not a cotton-headed ninny muggins at Gypsy Road Brewing! 7 PM

Wednesday, December 24 (Christmas Eve)

  • Lovefeasts - Experience the beloved tradition at Winston-Salem’s local Moravian churches! Times vary.

  • White Elephant - Bring a wrapped gift and dish to share at Old Nick Williams Co! 5 PM

Thursday, December 25 (Christmas)

Friday, December 26

  • Kwanzaa - Celebrate Umoja, the first day of Kwanzaa, at the Shotgun House Legacy Site with activities, storytelling, and more. 12-3 PM

  • 🍞 Now Open: Bread of Heaven is serving up soul food in the former Old Salem Tavern! The restaurant briefly opened in September 2025 before closing for additional renovations. Its grand opening celebration is January 2, 2026!

  • 🏆 Results: Downtown Winston-Salem announced the Window Wonderland contest winners: Eyes on Trade won the grand prize, followed by Wood and Thread as the runner-up! Check out the honorable mentions and People’s Choice winners.

  • 🕯 Kwanzaa: Triad Cultural Arts is hosting daily Kwanzaa events through January 1 at various locations! Kwanzaa is a week-long celebration honoring African heritage and culture, with each day dedicated to one of seven principles known as the Nguzo Saba.

  • 🐪 Announced: Innovation Quarter has officially named its new aluminum camel sculpture Humphrey! Chosen by popular vote, Humphrey will be on display in Bailey Park through the holidays and return next holiday season.

  • 🎓 University: Wake Forest broke ground on its new office building at The Grounds! The project is expected to be completed in 2027 and will house 400 staff members from several administrative departments. Discover what else is planned for The Grounds.
