🍞 Now Open: Bread of Heaven is serving up soul food in the former Old Salem Tavern! The restaurant briefly opened in September 2025 before closing for additional renovations. Its grand opening celebration is January 2, 2026!
🏆 Results: Downtown Winston-Salem announced the Window Wonderland contest winners: Eyes on Trade won the grand prize, followed by Wood and Thread as the runner-up! Check out the honorable mentions and People’s Choice winners.
🕯 Kwanzaa: Triad Cultural Arts is hosting daily Kwanzaa events through January 1 at various locations! Kwanzaa is a week-long celebration honoring African heritage and culture, with each day dedicated to one of seven principles known as the Nguzo Saba.
🐪 Announced: Innovation Quarter has officially named its new aluminum camel sculpture Humphrey! Chosen by popular vote, Humphrey will be on display in Bailey Park through the holidays and return next holiday season.
🎓 University: Wake Forest broke ground on its new office building at The Grounds! The project is expected to be completed in 2027 and will house 400 staff members from several administrative departments. Discover what else is planned for The Grounds.
