  • National Lampoon’s Christmas Party - Second & Green Tavern hosts its annual holiday party, complete with a dirty Santa gift exchange. 7 PM

  • Carolina Crossing Christmas Jam - Enjoy music from nine bands at four different venues. All proceeds benefit the NC Arts Foundation. Also available Saturday.

Saturday, December 23

  • Hockey Game - Cheer on the Carolina Thunderbirds as they take on the Columbus River Dragons at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds. 6:05 PM*

  • Vienna Light Orchestra - Over 2,000+ flickering candles illuminate world-class musicians and vocalists as they perform all your favorite holiday songs at R. J. Reynolds Auditorium. 4 and 7:30 PM*

  • Holiday Market - Finish up your Christmas shopping at ROAR with unique finds from artisans and creators. 11 AM - 4 PM

  • Breakfast with the Grinch - Enjoy breakfast at Cupcake Cuties Cafe & Bakery while taking pictures with the Grinch and Cindy Lou! 8, 9:30, and 11 AM

Sunday, December 24

  • Elf Run - Dress festively and run with Twin City Track Club at the William G. White, Jr. Family YMCA. The event is for runners of all speeds and abilities! 9 AM

Monday, December 25

  • Family Feast - Enjoy a Christmas Day buffet and a half hour of gaming for the family at ROAR. 12-5 PM

  • New Movie - a/peture presents The Color Purple, a new take on a classic story. 4 and 7:30 PM

  • Report: The Black Philanthropy Initiative's new report - The Intersectionality of Black Life and Being was released earlier this year. The report details the needs and recommendations for achieving a better future for Black communities in Forsyth County.

  • Service: Habitat for Humanity of North Carolina partnered with the City of Winston-Salem and multiple first responder groups to build a home for a local family in need.

  • Non-profit: There’s still time to purchase a luminary kit to participate in Ronald McDonald House’s Light a Luminary event on December 24. Proceeds benefit the families that stay at Ronald McDonald House throughout the year.

  • Celebrations: Triad Cultural Arts is hosting a series of Kwanzaa celebrations in Winston-Salem from December 26-January 1. All events are free and open to the public.

Victorian Christmas at Körner’s Folly

Victorian Christmas at Körner’s Folly

  • Körner’s Folly has been transformed into a Victorian-inspired holiday wonderland; take a self-guided tour through the home’s 22 rooms, which have been decorated from floor to ceiling!

  • Tues-Sun, 10 AM - 4 PM

  • With over a million twinkling lights illuminating Tanglewood Park, visitors can drive along the route and marvel at the stunning array of 80+ Christmas light displays.

  • Mon-Sun, 6-11 PM

  • Experience a mesmerizing light display with over 8,000 captivating ‘flowers’ at Paul J. Ciener Botanical Garden.

  • Wed-Sun, 5:30-8:30 PM most nights

  • Make seasonal crafts like greeting cards, ornaments, mini trees, and "gingerboard" houses using Dabble’s craft buffet.

  • Thurs & Sun, 12-7 PM; Fri & Sat, 12-9 PM

  • There are over two dozen Moravian churches in the area where you can attend a traditional Moravian Lovefeast.
