Have you heard? The team behind History Channelās āAmerican Pickersā is coming to North Carolina in February 2025!
What: The show follows a team of āpickersā digging through private collections for hidden treasures that they restore to their former glory. The show first aired in 2010.
The News: The Pickers will visit North and South Carolina in February 2025. They are looking for private collections with interesting items and engaging storiesāthose who wish to be considered should call or text āŖ(646) 493-2184 or email [email protected].
Fun Fact: One of the showās most famous North Carolina finds was a rare Von Dutch motorcycle. Host Mike Wolfe called it a āHoly Grailā item and paid $21,000 to acquire it.

š¬ Arts: RiverRun executive director Rob Davis will retire on December 31. Mary Dossinger and Tiffany Jones, who currently work at RiverRun, will serve as co-interim directors starting January 1, 2025. RiverRun is a local non-profit best known for its annual RiverRun International Film Festival, which takes place in April.
šÆāāļø Local Legend: Winston-Salem native Gracie Epperson landed her dream role as one of the Radio City Rockettes! Epperson trained at In-Motion Dance Studio in Winston-Salem before moving to New York City to pursue her dancing dream. She will be performing at Radio City Music Hall through January 5. (WXII 12)

š Theater: The Piedmont Shakespeare Company, a new theater company, will perform Shakespearean shows at various outdoor venues in the Piedmont beginning in Summer 2025. Leading the theater company are faculty members from UNCSA and Elon University.
šø Event: Animal Adoption and Rescue Foundation (AARF) is hosting its first Winter Open House on Friday, December 13. The event will feature adoptable cats and the opportunity to learn how to get involved in AARF.
š Giving Back: Each Christmas, Finniganās Wake sponsors a local family by setting up a Giving Tree in its pubāpatrons can grab tags from the tree and buy the gifts written on the tags. The unwrapped gifts must be returned to Finniganās Wake by Saturday, December 14.
