Save the Date: Mark your calendar for an indoor pickleball tournament at Forsyth Country Day School on Saturday, September 21. The tournament will feature mixed doubles, men’s doubles, and women’s doubles. Register by September 1 for a discounted price.
Medical: Forsyth County has allocated $79,100 to the Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening program. Combined with the $35,900 grant from the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, the program will provide free cancer screenings for 120 low-income women.
Arts: The Arts Council of Winston-Salem is offering grants of $500 to $2,000 to local artists through the Artist Support Grants program. Virtual information sessions will be held on August 9 and 21. The deadline to apply for a grant is Thursday, September 26.
Register: The Dutch Greens Hydroponic Farm is accepting orders for its first grow cycle. Starting the first week of September, supporters will receive a weekly box of fresh greens for 10 weeks. Pickups will be at The Dutch Light Bar in Bailey Park.
