Have you heard? The Tavern in Old Salem is reopening!
What: Old Salem, Inc. sold the building to a subsidiary of RJS Properties, Inc. The company will begin renovating the building immediately and plans to reopen the restaurant later this year.
Backstory: The restaurant closed at the end of 2019 partly because of slower business due to construction on Business 40. The restaurant had been a favorite dining experience for locals, especially for special occasions like graduations and anniversaries.
Changes: Renovations will include all new kitchen equipment, upgrades to the outdoor arbor dining area, and dedicated restaurant parking.
