What better way to meet new people than sharing a meal together? That’s exactly what Sarah had in mind when she created Camel City Supper Club!

  • What: Camel City Supper Club is a monthly potluck dinner that meets every first Sunday at rotating spots around town. Each month has a different theme, like Taste of Home and Build Your Own Bowl.

  • How: The Supper Club is open to everyone! Just sign up with what you’re bringing on the Google Sheet shared in their Instagram bio. The next potluck dinner is Sunday, September 7, at Easy Tiger Beer Garden.

  • Who: Sarah founded Camel City Supper Club at the start of 2025 as a way to gather the various friends she’d made through her bartending jobs at Fiddlin’ Fish and Easy Tiger Beer Garden.

  • Impact: ā€œI made new friends that I’ve hung out with outside of Camel City Supper Club. My phone keeps filling up with people.ā€ - Tony

The sale is expected to close later this year or in early 2026, pending approval from HanesBrands shareholders. This deal follows HanesBrands’ sale of its Champion brand to Authentic Brands Group for $1 billion last year.   • šŸ”Ø Renovation: Construction has begun on the Robinhood Road Family YMCA’s renovation! The project includes a new Airnasium, parking expansion, and faƧade upgrades. Construction is projected to wrap up by the end of the year—in the meantime, all workouts, classes, and activities will continue to run uninterrupted. You can support the renovation by giving to the YMCA’s Capital Campaign.

  • āœļø Education: The Goddard School will open on Country Club Road in January 2026! The school is currently enrolling children from 6 weeks to 6 years old. Join site owner Teresa Starke at Copain Bakery this Thursday to learn more about Goddard!

  • šŸŽ­ Arts: The Little Theatre of Winston-Salem is purchasing its first building in its 90-year history! Located at 4015 Brownsboro Road, the new building will feature larger rehearsal and classroom rooms, along with a 70-seat performance space. Mainstage performances will still take place in the Milton Rhodes Center.
