Winston Under 40 promotes talent recruitment and development for young professionals through networking socials and professional development lectures & workshops.
The Junior League is a women’s organization impacting the community through programs like Strong Women, Strong Families and the Backpack Program.
Ambassadors recruit and retain people in Winston-Salem by sharing their knowledge of the city and making newcomers feel welcome!

Education: Bonita J. Brown, the new Chancellor of Winston-Salem State University, will deliver the State of Education at the Benton Convention Center on Tuesday, August 20. Registration is required to attend.
Award: Forsyth County Government’s MapForsyth Department received the 2024 Civic Excellence in Innovation Award for its work on the Community Resources and Assets Application. The interactive map provides locations and contact information for various resources such as substance use treatment and housing & financial assistance.
Save the Date: Second Harvest’s Food Hall Invasion takes place on Sunday, September 15. The pop-up food hall will feature Winston-Salem's top restaurants and chefs, including Chef John Bobby of Bobby Boy Bakery and Chef Tim Grandinetti of Spring House.
Arts: The Arts Council of Winston-Salem & Forsyth County celebrated its 75th anniversary. The Arts Council has helped create a thriving arts scene in Winston-Salem and will commemorate its special anniversary with a year of events and initiatives.
Now Open: Jamaican restaurant Ah Fiwi held its ribbon-cutting ceremony this past weekend. The restaurant serves classic dishes such as fried ripe plantains and jerked chicken at 858 NE 25th Street.
Volunteer: Heart Math Tutoring needs volunteer math tutors to help elementary students at Bolton Elementary and Easton Elementary. Volunteers need to commit to one hour a week and do not need math expertise or teaching experience.
