Have you ever watched a race at Bowman Gray Stadium? Take the family out for a night of high-speed thrills this spring and summer!

  • What: The 17,000-seat stadium is NASCAR’s first and longest-running weekly track, bringing entertainment to Winston-Salem since 1937. The stadium’s 76 season started last week (Saturday, April 20).


  • In the News: NASCAR recently became the manager of the stadium’s racing operations after acquiring Winston-Salem Speedway Inc. NASCAR's lease with the City of Winston-Salem runs through 2050.

  • When: Every Saturday at 8 PM through August.


  • Price: Adult admission is $12, child admission (ages 6-11) is $2, and children ages 5 and under get in for free!

Friday, April 26

  • Jazz and Jumbalaya - Celebrate Jazz Appreciation Month with delicious food and live jazz at Delta Arts Center. 7-10 PM

  • House Hangs - Come to SECCA for a live DJ, conversation, cocktails, and dinner prepared by a local chef. 5-8 PM

  • Comedy Tour - Climb aboard the “jolly trolley” for a hilarious trip around town, featuring an onboard comedy show and a tasting at a local brewpub. 7 PM

Saturday, April 27

  • Carolina Core Brews Fest - Celebrate craft beer culture with unlimited samples, food vendors, and a live DJ at Truist Point Stadium. 12-4 PM*

  • Walk ALS - Volunteer with ALS United North Carolina at its fundraiser event at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds. 7:30 AM

  • Market Event - Shop from nearly 300 small businesses at “Southern Charm at the Farm” in Tanglewood Park. Grab lunch at one of the onsite food trucks and enjoy live music while you browse. 9 AM - 4 PM

  • Garden Tour - Explore 9+ beautiful gardens in Winston-Salem on this tour with the Garden Club Council. 10 AM - 4 PM

  • Fruhlingsfest - Wise Man Brewing’s spring festival features German beer, German food, and live polka music - think of it as an early Oktoberfest! 12 PM

  • Mutt Strut - Run with your furry friend at the 8th annual 5K Run and Walk starting at Marketplace Mall and winding its way through Salem Creek Greenway. Proceeds benefit Forsyth Humane Society. 9 AM

  • Wine-A-Ritaville - Enjoy music from the Party Parrot - the Jimmy Buffet tribute band - at Childress Vineyards and dance the night away! 6-10 PM

  • Boulder Bash - Compete in FirstHand Climbing’s bouldering competition that will offer six different categories of participation. 11 AM - 2 PM

  • Latin Dance - Learn the salsa and then practice your newfound skills at Incendiary Brewing in Lewisville. Dance lesson at 5 PM, dance social from 6-9 PM.

  • Poetry Workshop - Learn about erasure poetry (also known as blackout poetry) and create your own poem at SECCA. 11 AM

  • Bulls, Bands, and Barrels - Experience bull riding, bullfighting, and a live concert with Ian Munsick and Winston-Salem native Cooper Alan at LJVM Coliseum! 7 PM

  • 5K Race - Run in the Feet for the Street 5K & 7 Miler at Salem Lake to support the Winston-Salem Street School. Check-in begins at 7:30 AM.

  • Winston Junction Market - Find handmade items from local vendors, enjoy a bite from a food truck, and listen to live music at the Winston Junction Market. 11 AM - 4 PM

Sunday, April 28

  • The Big Slurp - Head to Wise Man Brewing for live music, pet-themed vendors, raffles, a silent auction, and dog contests. The fundraiser event supports three local animal organizations. 1-5 PM

  • Rescue for the Roses - Join Red Feather Equine Sanctuary at Medaloni Cellars for live music, fine wine, a silent auction, and the opportunity to meet a retired racehorse. 1-6 PM

  • Silent Book Club - Cozy up with a good book in the company of fellow readers at Footnote Coffee. There will be designated times for mingling and reading. 3-5 PM

  • Spring Market - Culture, a studio/gallery, hosts an art and craft market with over 20 artists at the Liberty Plaza Building. This market was rescheduled from last week due to weather conditions. 2-6 PM

Monday, April 29

  • Run Club - Join Fiddlin’ Fish for their weekly run club! There are a variety of routes with different distances. 6 PM

  • Swing Class - Take a beginner or intermediate dance class with Vintage Swing at The Prescott. 6:30-9 PM

SummerLark

Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is excited to host SummerLark at Bailey Park on May 11! Experience a special performance by Barenaked Ladies and Winston-Salem's own Crenshaw Pentecostal, all in support of the Cancer Patient Support Program to ensure that no one faces cancer alone.
