🐰 16+ Easter Weekend Events
✝️ Historic Easter Celebration
This Sunday is Easter, which means it’s time for one of Winston-Salem’s most cherished traditions: the Easter Sunrise Service in Old Salem.
Now in its 253rd year, this Service has been held every year since 1772 and is one of the longest-running Easter sunrise services in the country.
What to Expect: Before dawn, hundreds will gather at Salem Square for a liturgical reading and singing before silently processing to God’s Acre, the Moravian graveyard.
The Service concludes with the choir singing of Jesus Christ’s resurrection as the sun begins to rise.
Details: Salem Square at 6 AM
Refreshments: Lot 63 will provide free coffee and sugarcake to attendees until 5:45 AM.
♻️ Goodwill has always championed the principles of reducing, reusing, and recycling—not just on Earth Day, but every day. Here are three impactful ways Goodwill fosters sustainability:
Each year, Goodwill recycles 40 million pounds of unwanted goods through its donated goods program.
Goodwill is a plastic bag-free retailer—shoppers can bring their own reusable bags or purchase new reusable bags in Goodwill stores.
Since 2004, Goodwill has responsibly recycled 900 million pounds of computer equipment.
