Welcome to the Jungle
Easy Tiger Beer Garden is taking over the space formerly occupied by Southside Beer Garden!
Who: The owners of The Trophy Room, Dogwood Hops & Crops, Young Cardinal Cafe, Jeffrey Adams, and Twisted Pine.
Changes: The interior will be full of plants in honor of the beer gardenās jungle theme and will feature new booth seating. The exterior will have new outdoor seating, complete with fire pits.
Menu: New beer and wine options, craft cocktails, non-alcoholic beverages including mocktails, and a create-your-own spritz option!
When: Easy Tigerās grand opening will take place on Friday, April 12, featuring food from Flatland Burger.
Bonus: Do the āEā & āTā in the photo look familiar? They used to be on the Winston Tower!

Other News
Festival: The 2024 RiverRun International Film Festival will announce its film lineup on Tuesday, April 2, at Milton Rhodes Center. Passes to the festival are currently on sale, and tickets to individual screenings will be available starting April 5. The festival runs from April 18-27.
Housing: The Winston-Salem Foundation announced a $1 million equity investment in Metropolitan Village, a housing project in Winston-Salemās East End neighborhood. The project, which United Metropolitan Missionary Baptist Church initiated, will include 323 units of below-market rate housing.
Ranking: Commercial Search ranked the Triad as No. 7 in the top 10 markets with the most life sciences spaces under construction. This is mostly in part to Phase 2 of Innovation Quarter, which features plans for 2.7 million square feet of new development on 28 acres.
Project: Over the summer, artist Ernal Martinez will paint a mural near Liberty Street that will be visible from U.S. 52. Martinez said the mural will tell the story of the Liberty Street area and of Winston-Salem. The project is planned to be completed in July.
Medical: Charter Medical, a medical technology manufacturer, will establish its new āInnovation Hubā in Innovation Quarterās One Technology Place building. The new space will feature a state-of-the-art lab and function as Charterās downtown location.

Same Bar, New Owner
West End Opera House is under new ownership!
Who: Owner Tony of Bamboo Lounge, Whiskey Dawgs, and Vintage Sofa Bar took over the space when the previous owner recently retired.
What: The bar was closed for three weeks as renovations took place, which included adding new hardwood floors and equipment. It reopened last week!
Menu: West End Opera House now features a food menu similar to Vintage Sofa Barās and some of the barās original cocktails from the '80s (with a twist!) on its drink menu.
